Though of course a lot of fantasy art is about taking that and exaggerating it, something like World of Warcraft is very removed from anything 'real', whilst DnD still keeps one foot in that camp.

Nick Egberts; I am very fortunate in already owning two pairs of gauntlets. One with a set of full fingers, and the other some lovely clamshell mittens.

It is also easier for me to persuade my wife, Anne Stokes,of the necessity as she is also a fantasy illustrator, and the person who introduced me to live role play :)Ralph Horsleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04910644039937106729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3438619740844172852.post-41650830625171471172009-07-10T17:50:01.946+01:002009-07-10T17:50:01.946+01:00Nice helmet indeed.

That is one very shiny sallet you have there.

For what it's worth, I love going to (and participating) in various costume and cosplay events when I can. Beyond the sheer enjoyment I get from it, I've found them to be an invaluable source for reference as where else will you ever see Optimus Prime, a Gundam, and the entire cast of Guilty Gear all running around at the same time? It's a great chance to see how various fictional costuming and concepts would look in real lighting, and also, since they had to be made, is a great way to see how such fictional guises can be made to work.

That, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing make-believe!MuYoung Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11943937342046044648noreply@blogger.com
