I always enjoy depicting dramatic, perilous, situations, and its better still when the frozen moment is a cliffhanger from which you feel the Hero has no chance of escape; though of course we always suspect that they have some trick hidden up their sleeve, that is, after all, why they are a hero.
In this cover painting for Paizo's Pathfinder supplement 'No Response From Deepmar' Harsk is the poor unfortunate, and he hasn't even got inside the mineworkings yet.
During the painting process I took a lot of photographs, and they are shown below as a very comprehensive walkthrough.
